    The 2018 Pio Cesare Barolo is a wonderful wine. This 2018 Pio Cesare is a classic style Barolo. Excellent structure, harmony, elegance. Soft tannins and balanced fruit. Approachable, but with a very long ageing potential. Barolo is such a great wine which should not be described as a “basic” or “regular” Barolo, simply because it does not have any additional indication on the label.

    Pio Cesare is a family owned vineyard in the Barolo DOCG. This 100% Nebbiolo wine is vinified in stainless steel vats and aged in oak barrels for 30 months. This is a classic Barolo that has an elegant structure, smooth tannins and fresh fruit flavors. Pio Cesare’s Barolo has a wonderful potential for aging.

    This 2018 Pio Cesare Barolo DOCG wine is best paired with red meat dishes, game or seasonal truffle, and mature cheeses.

    The 2021 Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico wine has a bright ruby red in color, a lively bouquet of red fruits and blackberries complement undertones of ripe cherries and pomegranate seeds. On the palate, the wine is fresh and fruit-forward with silky tannins that evolve throughout the finish. This Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico which is the maximum expression of its territory and of the grape varieties which compose its blend: first and foremost the Sangiovese of Ruffoli, the magic Chianti Classico hillside in Greve in Chianti.

    This is a wine that expresses both the Chianti Classico terroir as well as the Sangiovese grape. The grapes for this wine are sourced from vineyards in the village of Ruffoli, located in Greve.

    One of the biggest names in Italian wines, we were blown away by our recent tasting of the Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico. This famed Tuscan estate is known worldwide for their cultivation of 90 year old Sangiovese di Lamole in the Chianti Classico area of Greve.

    This 2021 Poggio Scalette Chianti Classico wine can be paired with a number of dishes including rosemary roasted lamb, tomato based sauces, and hearty chicken stews.

    The 2021 Terre di Valter Greco di Tufo wine has bright straw yellow color. This Terre di Valter Greco di Tufo is a refreshing, crisp wine that is known for its aromatic notes of lemons, pears, apple and toasted almonds and a lingering mineral finish. Floral and lemony with underlying pear and stone aromas, displaying gorgeous, succulent minerality in the mouth that gives backbone to the juicy yet composed apple, pear, lemon and floral notes.

    Greco di Tufo is a DOCG of the Campania wine region in southern Italy. It is responsible for what is arguably the region’s most prestigious white wine, made predominantly from the grape variety that shares its name. The name Tufo refers not only to one of the villages from which the wine comes, but also the type of rock on which the village was built.

    Food Pairing: Seafood, grilled fish, poultry, cold dishes and also as an aperitif.
